Jhund, directed by Nagraj Manjule and starring Amitabh Bachchan, has finally arrived in theatres, but unfortunately, the entire film has been leaked online by notorious sites on the very first day of the premiere. You read that right! The Jhund full movie is readily available on a number of notorious sites for free download, which must be upsetting to its makers. It takes so much work for filmmakers to prepare a theatrical release.
Jhund chronicles the story of Vijay Barse, a social worker who used football games to uplift underprivileged children. Amitabh is seen bringing together street kids to build a soccer team to provide them with a better life. Here is what trade analysts and film critics had to say about the film.
Taran Adarsh says, “#Jhund: GRIPPING. Rating: ***12. #Sairat director Nagraj Manjule’s first Hindi film isn’t just a sports drama – but also deals with real issues that are hard to ignore… #BigB is spectacular, Shahenshah is among the top actors. #JhundReview.”
Aavishkar says, “#JHUND is absolutely fantastic! Nagraj Manjule delivers hat-tricks (Fandry, Sairat, Jhund) and provides one of Amitabh Bachchan’s BEST films ever. First half of this film is incredibly entertaining. Second half is emotional, hard-hitting, and thought-provoking. Deserves all accolades.”
Himesh Mankad says, “Guys, #Jhund will be released tomorrow. You should go see it. It’s relevant, entertaining, engaging, and exciting at times. I don’t recommend films, but you may enjoy this one if sport drama appeals to you.”
Anmol Jamwal says, “#Jhund is absolutely brilliant, and there is no doubt about that! Beautiful performances by the young cast, led by the legend himself #AmitabhBachchan. #NagrajManjule has delivered again, compelling us to acknowledge our biases and embrace one another as equals.”
In his review, Rohit Jaiswal writes, “#Jhund is a decent film, neither good nor bad… a 2.5-star rating. Weaknesses- the slow narration & weak direction. #Jhund #JhundReview #AmitabhBachchan.”
