No matter if you are a parent of a driver soon to be, or just recently obtained your license, you have likely begun looking into local driving schools.
There’s also no “meet and greet” with teachers, as is the case in regular schools. If teens or parents have questions, they will have to research the topic.

What is Driving School?
Driving schools come in a variety of sizes. Some employ multiple instructors, others have one instructor. This ensures that all drivers receive an appropriate, consistent education.
Driving school is a great way to learn how to drive. It can be a fun and exciting experience, but it’s also a great way to improve your skills and knowledge. LTrent Driving Lessons offers a wide range of courses that can help you become a better driver. They offer both classroom and on-road instruction, so you can learn at your own pace. And, their experienced instructors are always there to help you if you need it.
What Are Driving Lessons?
This question was answered by extensive market research. We analyzed hundreds upon hundreds of published driving lesson prices, and we interviewed over 400 driving instructors to find out what learner drivers need and how much they should be paying for their driving lessons.
What Does A New Driver Learn At Driving School?
Everybody has their own needs, and even new drivers have different needs.
Many new drivers have been able to operate farm equipment or other off-road vehicles. This gives them a slight edge because they’ve had time to improve their motor skills.
However, many young drivers have never driven a car before, so they’re starting from scratch.
Some examples include:
- Road signs
- 3-point turns
- Parking (pulling in, backing in, parallel, etc.)
- Safe driving techniques
- Broken road rules can lead to serious consequences (speeding and driving under influence of drugs or alcohol, evading authorities, etc.).
Driving lessons offer the opportunity to work with your instructor on any specific skills or problems you might be having. Imagine that you’re comfortable driving on the roads, making U-turns, and parking parallel. But you have trouble with parallel parking. You’re driving instructor will take you to a small parking spot and teach you parallel parking skills until you are an expert.
How Long Does It Take For a Driving School To Be Completed?
There is no clear answer. This process could take days or extend over several weeks. The process’ length will depend on your availability and time.
Fast-Tracked Lessons
Driving schools often offer a fast-tracked program that covers the in-class portion. A handful of lessons are offered by fast-tracked driving schools that last from four to eight hours each.
These lessons can be completed in one week or less if there is a break in the school year like March break, summer holidays, or March Break. Many times, new drivers can complete fast-tracked driving classes in one week or less.
Regular Lessons
For the rest of the year, the in-class portion of the curriculum will be spread out and less intense. Driving lessons last between one and two hours instead of several hours. This gives students the option to take classes either before or after work.
