Malta has a lot more to offer than meets the eye when it comes to its beaches, history, culture, gourmet delights, and fantastic hiking pathways. Relaxing on the beach is one of my favourite things to do in Malta. Many visitors also like the lovely tiny vineyards, the hidden cafés in Valletta’s alleys, and Gozo’s vast and diverse natural surroundings, both of which are ideal for yoga.
Island of Gozo
Gozo, one of the islands in the Maltese archipelago, is my favourite place in all of Malta. This is because, in comparison to Malta, the island of Gozo is much quieter. If you want to take a break from the city and come in touch with nature, we strongly recommend a trip to the island of Gozo. You may go diving or hiking on the island of Gozo.
The Comminian Islands
Comino, a smaller island than Gozo, is well-known for its beautiful blue lagoon. If you’re a scuba diver, you’ll love Comino. There’s a chance the boat ride from Malta to the island won’t take more than half an hour.
Best Malta beaches
Malta is a one-of-a-kind Mediterranean tourist attraction due to its lack of typical sandy beaches. Concern, however, is unwarranted, as a tranquil beach holiday is certainly attainable in Malta for those who know where to look.
The Golden Bay
Located in the island’s north, Golden Bay is a popular beach destination. Nearby, on the other side of the island, is another beautiful beach called GhajnTuffiena. Golden Bay is a standard beach in that it is close to a few hotels, a few restaurants, and an ice cream parlour. Take a bus from the surrounding region and you’ll be at Golden Bay in no time. You can rent a boat in Malta and enjoy the journey also.
Bay of Melliea
Mellieha Bay, the largest sandy beach in Malta, is also likely to be the beach that receives the most number of tourists. Located on the northern coast, it is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Malta. This beach is popular among families with smaller children due to the shallow water. The public transit system makes Mellieha Bay quite accessible.
Paradise Bay
Paradise Bay is located in the north of the island, not far from Cirkewwa and the port where the ferry to Gozo leaves. The beach itself isn’t particularly big, and getting to it requires a long descent down some quite steep steps. Even if you don’t wind up dining at the restaurant, the trip down to see it is well worth it for the ambiance alone. During the summer, Paradise Bay is the site of several weekend parties aimed towards young people.
The St. Peter’s
To fully appreciate St. Peter’s Cathedral, we recommend an early morning visit. The cliff’s relatively smooth surface and its ability to block the wind have made it a favourite spot for swimmers and sunbathers. These are the options you should not miss with the Malta tour.
